There are certain people that walk among us that touch us in ways that no one else can. They are performers in the grandest sense of the word yet teachers of life in the most human of ways. They can transcend any setting, transform any moment, and translate any message with an almost mystical finesse.
They are someone to whom others are instinctively drawn to, for they are able to show us the world of wonder and awe. They are able to take away our innermost barriers and reduce us to our greatest denominator: our humanity. Ralph Arbitell is one of these people.
Ralph entered my world 39 years ago. Ralph not only taught the basics of magic in general but also the many facets of the art. Colors .. stagecraft ... music .. drama .. comedy. I was truly the sorcerer's apprentice. Whether it was working spotlights or setting up a show or just having a cup of coffee and discussing life & magic. It was a time of growth and understanding. In less than two years I was no longer the apprentice, but the knowledge, the insight, and the friendship given to me, remains the greatest gift I've ever received.

THESE ARE PICTURES OF MY GOOD FRIEND AND FELLOW PERFORMER STEVE "THE SHADOW" NELSON. HE WORE A LOT OF HATS WHILE WITH ME. OUR SHOW WAS FUN BUT IT GOT HECTIC AT TIMES YET STEVE ALWAYS HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL. LIGHT, SOUND, SPECIAL PROPS AND WHEN NEEDED STAND-IN. I WAS VERY PLEASED WHEN STEVE STARTED PERFORMING HIS OWN ACT AND QUITE PLEASED AT HOW POLISHED HE WAS AND STILL IS. HE TRAVELED TO FAR OFF LANDS AND DIFFERENT CULTURES BUT WHERE EVER HE WENT HE WAS A HIT.
I AM GLAD THAT WE ARE STILL IN TOUCH EVEN THOUGH THE MILES STILL SEPARATE US BUT ONE THING I KNOW FOR SURE HE IS DAZZLING SOMEONE AND BRINGING JOY TO THOSE WHO ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE HIS AUDIENCE.
